We report on total listens per episode after 6 weeks. We’ll report on downloads too if you’d like, but the reason we prefer listens over downloads is because of this: while people may download an episode, they don’t always get around to listening to it. Many podcast listeners even have their favorite shows set to automatically download, which exacerbates this. It’s important to remember that downloads do not equal listens, and as such, we typically only report on actual listens of an episode rather than downloads.
